Managing Contacts

Contacts are the approved phone numbers your child can call and receive calls from. Any number that is not on your child's contact list is automatically blocked, so you always have full control over who can reach your child.

Adding a contact

  1. Go to Cups and select the cup you want to manage.
  2. Click Contacts.
  3. Click Add Contact.
  4. Fill in the contact details:
    • Name — The name your child will see on their phone.
    • Phone number — The contact's phone number (see accepted formats below).
    • Relationship — An optional label like "Grandma" or "Coach".
  5. Click Save.

Once you add a contact, your child can both call that number and receive calls from it.

Accepted phone number format

Phone numbers must be New Zealand numbers starting with 0, for example 021 123 4567. International numbers are not currently supported.

Editing a contact

  1. Go to Cups and select the cup you want to manage.
  2. Click Contacts.
  3. Click on the contact you want to update.
  4. Make your changes.
  5. Click Save.

Deleting a contact

  1. Go to Cups and select the cup you want to manage.
  2. Click Contacts.
  3. Click on the contact you want to remove.
  4. Select Remove.

The contact will be deleted immediately, and your child will no longer be able to call or receive calls from that number.

A note about sibling contacts

If you have more than one cup in your family, sibling contacts are automatically created so your children can call each other. These contacts are managed by the system and cannot be edited or deleted manually. You will see them labelled in your contact list so they are easy to identify.
