Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues
If your Papercup phone is having trouble connecting to or staying connected to Wi-Fi, follow these steps.
Symptoms
- Phone shows no network connection
- Calls drop or audio cuts out
- Phone won't connect to your Wi-Fi network
Common causes
- Phone is too far from the Wi-Fi router
- Wi-Fi password was changed
- Router needs a restart
Steps to fix
1. Check your Wi-Fi signal
Move the phone closer to your router. Walls and floors between the phone and router can weaken the signal.
2. Restart the phone
Unplug the power adapter, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in. The phone will restart automatically.
3. Restart your router
Unplug your router for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait 2 minutes for it to fully restart, then check if the phone reconnects.
4. Re-enter your Wi-Fi password
If your Wi-Fi password was recently changed, you'll need to update it on the phone. Contact our support team and we can update the Wi-Fi settings remotely, or see our connecting to Wi-Fi guide to update it yourself via the web interface.
