Device Won't Turn On

If your Papercup phone won't power on, follow these steps to get it working again.

Symptoms

  • No lights or display when plugged in
  • Phone doesn't respond at all
  • Display is blank

Common causes

  • Power adapter not connected properly
  • Faulty power adapter or cable
  • Power outlet issue

Steps to fix

1. Check the power connection

Make sure the power adapter is firmly plugged into both the phone and the wall outlet. The phone turns on automatically when it receives power — there is no power button.

2. Try a different outlet

Plug the power adapter into a different wall outlet to rule out a dead socket.

3. Check the power adapter

If you have another 12V USB-C adapter available, try using that instead. A faulty adapter is the most common cause of the phone not powering on.

4. Check for a display

When powered on, the phone's display should light up and show status information. If the display stays completely dark, the phone may not be receiving power.
