Adding a Phone Number

A phone number lets family and friends call your child directly. Your first phone number is included with Starter plans and above, and you can add more numbers if needed. The Base plan does not include a phone number — your child can still make outbound calls, but won't have their own number for incoming calls.

Adding your first phone number

  1. Log in to your account at portal.papercup.kids
  2. Go to Cups and select a cup that doesn't have a number yet
  3. Click Add Phone Number (or Claim Free Number)
  4. A number will be allocated from your preferred locality (region)

Your preferred locality can be set in Family settings, so the number matches your area.

Adding additional phone numbers

Additional phone numbers beyond your first cost $2/month each.

  1. Go to the cup you'd like to add a number to
  2. Click Add Phone Number
  3. You'll be taken to a checkout page for the $2/month charge
  4. Complete payment, and the number is assigned right away

You can also check how many numbers you currently have and whether you can add more from the Billing page.

Removing a phone number

  1. Go to Cups and select the cup with the number you want to remove
  2. Click the option to remove the phone number
  3. Billing for that number stops immediately

The number stays active until the end of your current billing period as a grace period. After that, the number is released and can no longer receive calls.
